AEC Hackathon 7.0 Copenhagen

One of my favorite events filled with innovative thinking and ideas combined with collaborative fun and technology are the AEC Hackathons held around the world. The next big AEC Hackathon is being held next month in one of my favorite cities in the world, Copenhagen Denmark.

AEC Hackathon 7.0 Copenhagen]

Feb 21 2020 18:00 - Feb 23 2020 20:00

In a nutshell, the hackathon starts with a group of people from industry, academia, tech, architects, and programmers that for the most part don't know each other. Some bring their ideas and vision for a killer app, automation, or service then in a lightning round pitch that idea. many ideas utilize AEC technologies like Dynamo, the cloud like AWS or Forge, or AR/VR.  Those that agree with a pitched idea can form a team with the person to plan and develop something in the two days. At the end of the event there are presentation of the solutions and judging for the winning solution. I have over simplified an AEC Hackathon but I can’t emphasize how fun and inspiring these events are and how all the people learn something from the exchange of ideas, experience, and collaboration as everybody walks away with new gained knowledge and even more ideas of what might be possible to change the AEC industry.

AEC Hackathon Copenhagen Site and Registration

The AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) Hackathon was created in 2013 to give those designing, building, and maintaining our built environment the opportunity to collaborate with cutting edge technologies and its developers and designers. It has quickly become a community of innovators that include all elements of the built environment, not just AEC.

Each hackathon is brought to a location by the local AEC and or tech community. The AEC Hackathon community helps these locals make the event happen with financial support provided by both local and community sponsors.

This has become THE event for creating innovation for these industries so get engaged today! Our world faces fresh new problems that urgently need brilliant minds to solve them and this is the community that is improving how our world is designed, built, and operated.

The event will kickoff with Friday presentations from built environment industry leaders and then rollover into a weekend full of 'hacking'!
