Last week Autodesk invited several customers and social media from around the world to the San Francisco office for more than some amazing Spring weather.

During the day we enjoyed a nice Autodesk Gallery tour by Autodesk's power Gallery Ambassador Scott Sheppard. Following the amazing tour by Scott the attendees were given some presentations and panels on AutoCAD now and the future led by Autodesk’s Lynn Allen, Heidi Hewett, Rob McGuire, Marielle Covington. Longtime AutoCAD team members Jon Page and Misha Belilovskiy were joined on an AutoCAD panel with Marcus O’Brien. Clay Helm and myself gave a tour of Autodesk's Pier 9 workshop. Following the busy one day event we went to a winery to hear from two AutoCAD customers who were doing landscape and mechanical design with AutoCAD on the only LEED Platinum and Living Building certified winery Silver Oaks.

“We were greeted by a welcoming staff with wine samples and a chance to relax in the visitor area outdoors. The weather was perfect. From there, we went indoors to watch presentations from James Munden of Marta Fry Landscape Associates, and Andy Souza, P.E., from TEP Engineering. Each presented to the group their contributions to the Silver Oak Winery.”

The amazing benefit of the project being a winery was that we had a tour, dinner, and good wine afterwards.

You can pair AutoCAD with almost anything, even fine wine. Thank you for everyone that attended and Autodeskers that participated.
