Pecos Conference 2011

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Pecos Conference 2011 in the forest at a campground near the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. There was over 350 archeologist at the event and several papers presented. I had a table to show Autodesk Labs Project Photofly which can take photos from a standard digital camera and produce a 3D model in textured mesh as well as .LAS point clouds. Read more →

Full Size Disney Up! Movie House Designed Using AutoCAD

Things are definitely looking Up! for Bangerter Homes of South Jordan Utah. I learned of them from the Salt Lake Parade of Homes and saw the mention of a full scale aka life-sized house based on the popular Disney/Pixar movie Up!. The house was located in Herriman Utah just down the road from me, and I just had to go visit it. After visiting I contacted the builder asking what they used and some of the details of this very unique custom home, they said they used AutoCAD of course. Read more →
