“Am I forced to use a special mouse for a Mac?”
People remember what they heard years ago that, on a Mac you had to use a Mac single button mouse or something specific to the Mac. This is no longer the case and thankfully we can use almost any mouse we want. While there is the shiny new multi-touch featured Apple Magic Mouse , and the older single button Apple Mouse , and the Mighty Mouse, there is no requirement to use those.
You can use almost any mouse you prefer even one with two buttons and a wheel that you may be used to on the Windows PC platform. You can even use a Microsoft mouse on a Mac and I promise no red lights or secret beacons will be sent to some Apple mouse enforcement teams, although some diehard Mac users might give you funny looks.
I actually use the same mouse between my Windows PCs and Macs and that is a Logitech’s Bluetooth V470 with two buttons and a wheel. Perhaps I am set in my ways but using the same mouse on any platform is what works best best for me although I do prefer the Apple Trackpad most of the time.
So go ahead use a mouse you prefer or perhaps try new technology ones like the Apple Magic Mouse on your new Mac hardware. Its your choice just like the choice of AutoCAD for Windows or AutoCAD for Mac.
