A problem has been identified when attempting to install an AutoCAD® 2005 based product on a system running SP2 RC2 for Windows® XP. During the installation process, at the point were it says to click Next to start the installation, the installation hangs indefinitely.
The above three AutoCAD® 2005 based products cannot be installed on systems running SP2 RC2 for Windows® XP. SP2 RC2 must be taken back to the official Microsoft SP1 before proceeding.
Autodesk and Microsoft are working on a resolution.
This does not affect AutoCAD® 2004/2005 just the three above AutoCAD® 2005 based vertical products.
