I'm currently on a brief couple day trip for some meetings in Copenhagen Denmark and Gothenburg Sweden. Being of Danish heritage it was an amazing experience even if briefly to be in Copenhagen among all the amazing culture, food, people, architecture, Christmas markets, and Danish design. Did I mention food?
Luckily I will be back in Copenhagen in February for the AEC Hackathon.

I’m now at the Autodesk Gothenburg Sweden office before heading back to the US. Gothenburg is a beautiful city that goes full on with the celebration of holiday traditions an Christmas. Before dinner with colleagues in Liseburg, I watched people eating, ice skating, riding rides including a BIG roller coasters and also roasting sausages on little fires.

I will be in Washington DC next week Thursday and Friday March 28 and 29th and would love to meet with DC area based customers, partners, and people. I have held several casual meetups over the years to meet with readers and see friends and make new ones over a beverage. I can also meet privately with you.
Just let me know if you are interested! Email Me
I’m also looking forward to seeing the cherry blossoms on the National Mall though I will be about a week early gauging from the predictions.
The National Park Service issued its first forecast for the season with a cheeky announcement inspired by “Game of Thrones.”
I am in Hawaii to attend the 75th anniversary of December 7th. The event is not a celebration of the event or war, but to remember how bad war is and how we must never repeat this as well as honor all those that on that Sunday morning died or were forever affected. We had expected and hoped President Obama would be attending but it appears he may not be able to attend and cancelled his speaking events. I do know Japan's Prime Minister Shizo Abe is planning to attend and to remember and pay respects to the survivors and those that perished on December 7th, 1941. There will be several of the remaining Pearl Harbor survivors attendance including the remaining 5 of the USS Arizona. It is expected that this will be the final visit for most of the survivors who are all in their late 90s. If you are attending this event or in Hawaii and wish to, I may have one seat with me available for the ceremony early in the morning for free email me.

Autodesk has been involved with the United States Park Service and U.S. Navy to map the USS Arizona in 3D and completed that task after a lot of work above and below the surface of Pearl Harbor. A 3D print of the ship is in World War 2 Valor in the Pacific National Monument.
It is going to be an amazing and historic event and I am truly honored to have been involved with Pete Kelsey of Autodesk and Scott Pawlowski of the NPS.

There is also a relative of mine who perished on this ship December 7th, 1941. This has a very personal connection to me not only from having participated in the 3D survey and diving on the USS Arizona and touching it, but the connection to a relative I never knew.
