AU Beat: Meet "Hollywood's Best Kept Secret"
The AU Beat is a collection of podcasts “audio” files you can listen to regarding Autodesk University 2008 and what will be occurring by some of those participating. Also check out the BLAUG which is the blog of AU by Joseph Wurcher aka “Mr. AU”.
Two weeks ago I got the opportunity to once again visit Eddie Paul in his shop in El Segundo California. Why not just fire up the recorder and ask Eddie to introduce himself, his background, and what he intends to speak about at the Autodesk University 2008 General Design Keynote session.
I hope you enjoy the discussion with Eddie as he is as real and genuine as they come and is passionate about Autodesk products such as AutoCAD and 3ds max and others.
Cheers,
Shaan
Two of the highest rated and well respected AutoCAD related presenters at Autodesk University speak in a podcast about this year’s Autodesk University 2008 and the AutoCAD PowerTrack.
Wow! Get Ready for This Year’s AutoCAD PowerTrack
Give it a listen!
I too have an AU podcast being readied for publishing featuring an in person recent visit with General Design Session speaker Eddie Paul known as Hollywood’s best kept secret. Eddie and what he does with Autodesk products like AutoCAD and 3ds Max is just plain COOL and he is one of the most diversified design and fabricators I have ever met.

I got a request to speak in a podcast and finally synced up schedules with the CADTIMES crew Michael and Peter. We talked at length tonight on many different subjects. I expect the podcast to be posted in the very near future, but they may have to edit a bit since we talked for about 90 minutes. :-)
I realized tonight it might be easier to podcast than blog, nobody knows you have a typo or an out of place comma in an audio only podcast. I can most certainly speak faster than I can type. :-)
UPDATE: Podcast is now live http://www.cadtimes.com/blog/?p=18
This week we are joined by Shaan Hurley from Autodesk. He’s the author of Between the Lines (his blog), and runs the MyFeedback Portal (Autodesk Beta Testing). Please check out his blog if you’ve never been there before. It’s updated frequently and has lots of great information. Also, sign up for the beta testing. You get to see some of the new features before anyone else, and you can also give your input on the product.
This week we discuss Shaan’s role at Autodesk, his blog, beta testing, and various other items.
