Some recent software optimizations were updated on the Autodesk Ember 3D Printer resulting in it 3D printing 24 times faster and because it is open source it could be used on a host of other 3D printers.
“True to the open-source nature of their 3D printer, Autodesk reveals exactly how that 24x speed improvement has been achieved in a highly detailed guide published on their Instructables DIY platform. That way, other Ember users or even owners of other 3D printers that rely on similar technology can push the speeds of their own machines. Interestingly enough, not one of the changes made to Ember was hardware related—no upgrades in motors or electronics—just a unique solution to the problem of suction.”

“In this Instructable, we're going to look at how to increase the speed of a Digital Light Processing Stereolithography (DLP SLA) 3D printer, specifically the Autodesk Ember 3D Printer. The techniques that we describe here apply to the whole class of DLP SLA printers and can be replicated on many different systems.”
