I recently mentioned that I was looking into hosting a local Autodesk product user meetup in Salt Lake City and have now selected a date.
The idea behind the meetup is to explore a future formal user group formation as well a great option to meet fellow Autodesk product users in the region. I will be holding this initial meetup at my office located off the TRAX and FrontRunner train line in downtown Salt Lake City on 200 South just across from the Gateway. I think this would be a good opportunity, especially since I get quite a few requests for local Autodesk product users by other firms looking for people to hire.
The group would not be discipline specific and cover all Autodesk products from AutoCAD users to 3ds max visualization specialists with a focus on fellow user tips and tricks, and perhaps further networking in sub groups. We could also do some local trips and activities to feed our inner geek as well as social needs.
