For the loyal AutoCAD users out there, if you have been insulted by either the new UI and/or the tips above about reverting to R14, here is a REAL tip for you:

Use the LAYERDLGMODE command to revert the layer command to the humanly usable version, instead of the moronic palette :-) There is a fundemental reason why a palette is plain wrong for the layer command: it is a horizontal command, and a vertical palette is just not appropriate.

It is always a good idea to keep up and adopt new technology, but there is also a red line each one of us has to draw between useful and BS.
